Shakira Rules Yahoo! Music
(Press Release) For the first time ever on Yahoo! Music, one artist is holding the #1 and #2 on-demand positions on the Top 10 Videos for the same song. Shakira’s latest single “Hips Don’t Lie” has two “official” versions of the video in the Internet stratosphere.
Yahoo! Music and Epic Records partnered for what has proven to be a hugely successful fans-only video competition where participants were given the ultimate challenge…make the best hip shaking video to Shakira’s hit single "Hips Don't Lie.” That fans only video is currently the #1 video on Yahoo! Music, with more than 3.9 million total plays since its debut on March 8th.

Grammy Awards
Torrents Rock favorites Mariah Carey, Madonna and Christina Aguilera will be performing at the Grammy Awards. You can expect Grammy videos of TR favorites here. Shakira was shown on the Grammy ad poster, and several radio stations announced her as a performer. But, Shakira’s drummer told a fan that Shakira will not be performing at the Grammy awards.
Shakira recorded a song with Wyclef
Shakira was in the UK this week to tape CDUK and TOTP. At the show some fans got to talk to Shakira. They asked her about the 2nd single. It seems like it will be the new song with Wyclef.

After the rehearsal, Shakira went off for a couple of minutes as me and Kevin tried to get our breath back. She performed don't bother 3 more times (I think!) and kept giving us little moments – singing to us, winking at us, blowing us kisses. You could see how happy she was that some big fans had turned up to see her! Before one of the performances, I asked her what the new single was going to be. She said she's working on something new with 'Clef, and that we were gonna love it! She asked me what I thought should be released. I said Timor, and told her how massive a hit it would be! She then said "Another option", so I said hey you. She seemed pretty impressed with our suggestion tactics. Shakira recorded a few links for CD:UK, before leaving.

Carey considers hotel business
Pop superstar Mariah Carey is planning to invest some of her singing fortune into buying up a London hotel.
The Always Be My Baby singer has hit out at the lack of gender-orientated accommodation in the British capital, and vows to improve the situation with her own foray into the hotel business on her planned move to the UK.
She says: "I'm thinking of buying a hotel in London. It would have the best nail and hair place for the girls and a separate salon for the guys.
"And the lighting would be fantastic - everyone would look a billion dollars."
